Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Penny Isle (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. What Penny Isle is
Penny Isle is a personal savings-habit and spending tracker with game elements. It does not connect to bank accounts, does not move money, and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Coins and buildings are virtual items that have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for money.
2. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Please give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the Service. For example, don’t try to access other users’ data, disrupt or overload our systems, reverse engineer or scrape the Service, or manipulate coins and rewards through automation or exploits. We may suspend accounts that do.
4. Your content
You own the data you enter. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Paid plans and our reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Purchases are also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms.
Penny Isle Plus is a subscription billed monthly or yearly. Prices, taxes, the billing period and any free-trial length are shown before you pay. If a plan includes a free trial, you won’t be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Profile → Plus → Manage subscription, and Plus stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for. If your subscription ends, you keep everything already on your island, but Plus-only features stop. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
6. Changes to the Service
We are actively developing Penny Isle and may add, change, or remove features, including game rules and prices of virtual items. We may also discontinue the Service. If we do, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Calculations and summaries depend on the data you enter and may contain errors. Always verify important financial decisions independently.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Penny Isle and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Profile. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if required by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
